The following setup was submitted by Thomas Meyer and showcases a unique use of Launchy Widget to customize the Android home screen. This setup uses a combination of Launchy Widget with various other widgets, backgrounds and creative techniques to create a unique design.
Below is setup description provided by Thomas himself:
"Some tools and techniques, which I use:
A trivial trick (possible in Nova Launcher): the weather and calendar widgets (their background set transparent) are actually not integrated in Launchy Widget, but simply positioned above empty Launchy widgets (all of them with Red Glow skin, serving as background for the widgets, uniform to the app filled Launchy Folder Widget).
Since I'm a customizing freak, all tools/widgets are selected prioritizing maximum customizability (widget and font sizing, colorization, background...). They are sometimes not the most convenient to customize, but I value highest possible customizability."
This set of screenshots submitted by Mark Web and shows his incredible setup.
It is an interesting example of how Launchy Widget can be used in combination with other apps to customize the home screen of your android device.
Mark uses Launchy Widget combined with Widget Popup app to create a complex hierarchy of popup menus.
Ever wanted to create a list of your favorite apps on your home screen? Or use your favorite images as backgrounds for your apps?
This setup uses a single column of items, where the label of the item is shifted to the right and horizontally centered by using the label X and Y position controls.
The last image shows four different widgets each with a different background image.
